Psoriasis is an inflammatory autoimmune disease that causes your skin cells to grow faster than normal, resulting in red, raised patches of skin covered with silvery-white scales. Psoriasis is not a contagious disease and cannot be transmitted by contact. The exact cause of Psoriasis is not known. Genetic and environmental factors are involved.
